Hatsan Airmax vs. Hercules Bully for using 4500PSI CF bottle

For now I have found out informative  video about   Airmax only .


I am trying to find out answers for next  questions:
1.   Airmax and Hercules valve and hammer system are the same ?
2.   36j vs. 44j is only caused  because Hercules has higher air pressure and stronger hammer spring ?
3.   Barrel are the same ?
4.   Barrel and shroud fixing to the breach are the same ?
5.   Trigger systems are the same ?

If yes Hercules has only next advantages:
        a,  Adjusted  choking of air transfer way
        b,  Adjusted hammer spring preloading
        c, Adjusted air pressure regulator which output air pressure can be set only up to 160bar unfortunately .

I'm assuming you're referring to the .177 versions of those guns. Though  I currently don't own either of them, I did have my hands on both of them some time ago.
Iirc, the only thing that those two guns have that are similar is the trigger,  they use different valves and hammers, different porting, and different hammer springs. The extra power of the Bully comes from a stiffer hammer spring, larger valve exhaust ports, and a larger tp.
I'm not certain about how the shroud fit's to the Airmax, the owner didn't send it. but  I  assumed it would attach the same as any other QE system.

What's your objective for these rifles? If you're looking for high power and good shot count, the Bully would be the better option. for fitting the 4500 psi tank.  If you're looking to make a moderately powerful 177 with a huge shot count and plan on filling to 4500 psi,  the Airmax is the better option, but it'll need a either a regulator (idk if there's anything available aftermarket yet, so going this way would probably be a custom build) or a much stronger hammer spring, (that will probably affect cocking and possibly trigger function.)

It has helped me  well  because my value is now  Bully.

 I am only not sure if :

1.   It will be  easy to adjust/machining  .177 FX STX  slug liner  in the future
2.   already installed regulator will  not damage at higher input pressure (  4000-4500PSI )
Also I have noticed that some people swapped it to HUMA reg.

Sorry points a, and c, from my first post are wrong. I have  mistaken it from FX Dreamlite  features.
I  will need to use Altaros  bottle regulator or  next adapted  regulator from China  to be able to adjusting power via air pressure and appropriate hammer spring tension.

Have on installes on a 25 Bully
Very consistant and the Bully have enough air plenum

The problems with hammer bounce(valve bounce) seem to only be an issue on the newer Hatsans that use a different -de-bounce lever than the older Hatsans.  For some reason the idiots at Hatsan decided to change some that worked into something that fails.  The only exceptions are the ones that don't use that type of de-bounce lever(Bully, Flash/Vectis, Galatian).  In other words, the guns with the single machined breech assembly don't have that problem.  The ones with the two part breech/trigger tube assembly do have that issue(newer guns only).

The hammers are different on many of the Hatsan models.  The springs tend to be the same diameter across most of their models.  The biggest difference is length and stiffness of the springs used.

As far as the ping goes, that is generally in guns that aren't regulated, and that isn't limited to Hatsans.  Many of the unregulated guns out there have a ping when shot.  There are solutions to stopping the ping.  Some people insert a bottle brush into the air cylinder, or some sort of rubber insert to absorb the vibrations that cause the ping.  It is basically a matter of the vibrations from the valve getting struck transferring into the cylinder/bottle.  Anything you can do to dampen that transfer of vibration will help with the ping.  That includes adding a regulator.  I hope that helps

FYI, I just emailed Huub, the owner of a Huma, asking why his external regulator that adjusts externally, and made for bottle guns(he has a cheaper version that adjusts internally) says on the bottom of the regulator web page- “not for Hercules Bully guns”.

He replied back that the Bully rifles have no plenum space whatsoever to make a reg install worthwhile, and the use of a reg would be pointless. It would do nothing. These aren’t his exact words, but that is what he meant to say.

It goes hand in hand with what BlackDiesel has said about regulating a Bully, Altaros, and another fella I met who has the ability to machine custom reg’s. I can’t remember his name, but he said exactly the same thing. No plenum space whatsoever.

Believe me, I’ve been searching far and wide for a regulator for my 30 cal Bully. So, for now, I’ve detuned it from the factory speeds of 1076 FPS (using a 44.75 grain pellet) to 876 FPS and I can get 22-24 shots at this speed, vs. only 16 shots at the factory settings.

There are others here that have installed a bottle regulator on their Bully’s and it pushes the bottle forward, and ruining the look of the gun,  and I have never heard them come back with any feedback whatsoever on wether it helped their gun or not, increased shot count, lowered the noise, tightened up the extreme spreads, nothing. So when I hear nothing, that tells me it wasn’t a positive outcome.

And I am happy because Hercules has single machined breech assembly which has no bouncing valve problem as you told . I also hope that ping problem at Hercules bully will not be problem too because there is bottle prolonged via very short tube  .
