Too bad they do not mushroom like that when it hits Fur or Feathers... My .22 Predators almost do that though, and make a loud SMACK sound!! when hitting animals

thats nothing. i have pellets that hit a cinder block that all you can see is the skirt ring

Soft lead, - hard back stop will do that, just lucky it's not the other way around. ...

My own CFX's both do that to all the pellets I shoot into my Gamo resettable pellet trap.
No surprises here.
