"makes no never mind" (middle range PCP's)

Took a full day's shooting to figure out that "it don't make no nevermind" (as Uncle Harry was fond of saying).

Playing with the "middle of the road" PCP's.   Can consider 2 of them "cheap" guns ($266 for the.22  Urban and $399 for the .22 Flash pup) and one is long-gone (5mm Hatsan/Webley Raider)....but I added on that 5mm just becasue of the JSB 15.89gr. pellets (which have been working well).

All three of these are close to unmolested.  HAve adjusted some of the adjustemtns they came with, but haven't modded anything (other than a longer trigger adjusting screw for the Urban).

By weight, as shown above, that 5mm Hatsan/Webly is a pot-belly pig at 9.4 pounds. Both the Urban and the Flashpup come in near 8.2 pounds (which still isn't really all that light).

Yes indeed....used multiple little sand bags,shuffled around to get these different shaped rifles pointed in the right direction. Pretty much over kill with sand bags; looked like a WWII Japanese pillbox in a John Wayne movie.

At 25 yards...the real difference is like 1/25th of an inch.

Had some luck today, was able to actually get a target placed at 50 yards (actually,more like 50.6 yardsby steel tape)....was a limited time-frame, so was NOT going to readjust for 2 feet or move the shooting table to make up that 2 feet into full sun light (it's hot here)....just one 10 shot group each, holding on center, and letting it drop were it may from the above 25 yard zero.

The difference was about 7/100ths....or about 1/8th inch.

Ribbonstone, wonderful shooting with all 3! Glad to see you still have the Flashpup in your arsenal ....likeable little fellows aren’t they!?

Honestly....if all three were gassed up and ready to go,the awkward handling bullpup would be the last one I would pick up to go out roaming the woods. Wouoldn't make much difference is sitting at a bench with bags.

Think I would have used the JSB 15g in the Urban and Flash also...to match the .20 better... no not really My plus others have had their best urban groups with the 15g JSB.. ... besides I just pulled off recently a .3" by.4" outside to outside group(5shot) with them at 60 yards...it was with my $299 Buccaneer, But, they are my Urbans favorite pellet also...

You're right...should have tried the 15.89's in all three (.22 and 5mm)...just decided to toss in the 5mm after I'd finished with the two .22's.    Remember the Urban liking the 15.89's,but haven't really tested them in the pup (yet).

Certainly are differences between the three in handling but nothing that makes one any better than the other when shooting from a bench/bags....just a differnt arrangment of bags to get it pointed the right way (it's real close to just swapping bags front to rear betwen the Raider and the Flash pup).

  Webley farming out the Raider to Hatsan pretty much killed it. I can't find anything really wrong with it,but it's a lot more "hatsan" than "webley"...and not real popular in the UK or US.  Do think it might have been the best work Hatsan did until recently...but back then,it was a bugger in the punch bowl.

All of the 3 rifle showed have each a RESPECTIVE SOLID BASE..  They have remarkable track records and history..
They just have different format but nonetheless fill good shoes as accuracy.

well it is only likable in that it is an uglier dog than the Urban.. and I will not buy a pup... short to long carbines for me...

the Urban can have cosmetic surgery (pickle removal) ...  nice lookin stock on the .20

There won't be a second bull pup....my 2nd try (long long time in between), but whatever the "it" is that makes for rabid-pup fans escapes me.

in the end ya like what ya like...be it pup, carbine or just huge and long...

Me with a 105cc air tank and a short 15.5" barrel do not think  the fpe can match the flash for those sending cast 30g... 38 fpe will shoot much flatter than the Urbans 25-30fpe...

I am sending the 30g BBT at about 25 fpe/620 fps and doing well with the Urban... but my Buc is sending them out at ~32 fpe/675 fps with a larger air tank and longer barrel19.5" ... the flash has about 150cc air tank like the Buc  and 17.7" barrel... and many say 38 ish fpe on a desending string...

so it is about what you want to do with it a bit... you can put a buc air tank on the urban and maybe they will sell longer barrels again,,,but that is more $...

Do have a .22 PCP that manages 34.5gr. cast slugs @ 900fps...but it never comes out of the safe when playing around in the back yard (why pissoff the neighbors when you don't have to?)...and the Urban doesn't come out when I'm out in the soybean fields.

Acutally...think the name (Urban) pretty much matches the  idea of this one....likely to down-tune it to an even more modest speed for the Urban/Subruban uses it gets put to.

As for bullpups...there are other ways to get both short and light wieght.

My Urban is at 28 foot pounds with the 30 grain cast bullets. My 2 inch spinners are at 43 yards and they are getting so boring that I'm thinking about moving them to 60.
