Bill, As you know it is a gas piston. I can't give you the pressure number, unlike a spring it is a constant pressure but smooth until cock. Not as bad as a Diana 350, I have one of those.  That 20 in the name stands for foot pounds of pressure !!

The SIG is a good gun, but I wouldn't recommend it for high volume target shooting. If you think you need a 20 ft lb breakbarrel it is a good choice, but  I am noticeably tired after shooting a round of field target with mine.  The HW will be easier to cock and accuracy will probably be a draw between the 2.

Cliff, Thank's for the comments, I would be using it off a bag or sticks only. Probably about 50 shots a day.

Why don't u just buy a Diana 460mag? a tic over 8lbs out of the box! they tend to love Crosman pellets! GTA members at PA $399! sounds liks a gun u would like to me!

the 20 in ASP20 stands for 20fpe (in .177). The .22 hits about 23fpe, but the .177 is the top end for FT, I believe, is the intent there.

Thanks Mark, I respect your opinion and read a lot of your comments. I have 2 Diana 34's which I love, I read so much about HW that I might want to try something different. And the SIG is very tempting but may be more powerful for what I would use it for.

I called them up to ask a couple questions about the ASP20 synthetic. The people I talked to didn't have a clue, didn't speak air rifle AT ALL. They took my phone number because nobody knew anything more about the rifle than what you could read in the description. They called me back with the wrong answers. I won't be buying anything air gun from those amateurs. Can anybody tell me if the synthetic stock has an adjustable butt pad? Cheek riser? Or is it just a plastic clone of that bizarre wood stock?
