What a difference a 'good' trigger makes!

A while back I installed a GRTIII in my Benjamin Titan NP. It was better than stock but I never really liked it. I felt no first stage and the pull was a bit stiff and extremely short.

I had been suffering with erratic shots typical "you jerked the trigger" type stuff. I finally had enough.

I went and read CDT's excellent instructions on adjusting the trigger several times, it finally sunk it that the second stage takes very small adjustments. I got the first stage set, then could actually feel a little first stage. Some tiny adjustments on the second stage to increase the creep just a little and now it is like a different gun! So much better consistency.

Now if I can just get the hold and shouldering more consistent

Tom, like you, I have SLOWLY learned how important a well tuned trigger should feel like....then I forget eye placement, cheek weld, slow trigger release...LOL! Isn’t this fun!? It is and I try to shoot daily if possible .

I can't argue that.  A good trigger makes all the difference in the world.  You must be a magician.  I was never able to get the GRT III set to please me.  I finally replaced the whole trigger pack with an NP2 trigger pack.  After some fiddling and tuning I found a trigger to suit me.

No magic, like you I really did not like the trigger at first. But with careful adjustments I finally got it to where it has two stages albeit the first stage is pretty short can light. But the sear release is much easier and predictable now.

The more I fire the more the trigger becomes important.
Take when you have a number of air rifles and then see how much time it takes to master them all because of each trigger a bit different or a lot different.

I.e.  The Walther Parrus compared to the HW trigger is not the same at all.  Neither can really be improved any more than what the factories sent.  They say "adjustable trigger" but it really isn't--it has to be just in the "zone".

This is so true, sometimes I will go from one gun to another and for the first couple of shots the discharge will catch me off guard, so not ready for that

WOW!!! not to change the subject but FWB you say u can't make ur HW trigger any better then the factory settings? I never heard that before! U must not be adjusting something right? just a thought another mod to an  HW trigger unit is to add something like a Rowan extra set back trigger blade on top of proper adjustments and u won't believe the difference
