392 steroid bamboo muscle.....

So I have a Beeman RS2 that I've hardly used.  I decided to pit it against my 392 Steroid in a power test.  I put the cheap Beeman scope on the 392 and it works like a charm....looks good size wise as well, not too big.  The RS2 I've since placed the 3x9-40 Leapers on.  

I have a lot of bamboo around my house so I decided to grab a dead piece around 5 inches in diameter to shoot through.  It's tough as nails so I figured it would be a good test!

At about 15 yds I shot them both (I only use the .22 barrel on the RS2).  The RS2 couldn't punch through both sides!  The 392 at 14 pumps blasted through both and made a pretty big exit wound out the back!!  I'll aslo mention my .177 phantom couldn't make it through both sides either!  Why?

Now again, this stuff is like steel....really dead and browned up, but I never expected the RS2 to not be able to make it through both sides.  I only have about 50 shots through the RS2 as well.

The 392 acted angry and punched it's way through!

The RS2 is a 15-16 fpe rifle. The steroid 392 is more like 25 fpe?  What pellets where you using?

25 FPE on the 392?  That would explain it.  I'm using crossman hollowpoint's right now.  I have some 14.3 JSB's coming in this week. 

That 392 is a bad puppy at 14 pumps!

Lol yup, the cphp are hard pellets, they hardly deform at all, how hard is it to pump the benji? How loud is it?

Not too hard to pump at all in my opinion.  Easy, no; hard, no.  Just takes a small effort of elbow grease.  Have to say it isn't quiet at 14 pumps.....louder than my RS2 for sure.

I bought mine used on this forum.  I've been please with it.  The Mac1 mod is around 135 I think and the gun brand new is 160.

I don't remember the exact amount, but the price is going up a bit (I think it is an additional $15) once Tim gets back from World Championship because he had to add another replacement part to the steroid build. 

He mentioned the price change in a post on the yellow last week.
