Woops woke up the neighborhood!

I was shooting my Titan NP today. The piston seal had started squeaking at the bottom of the stroke. Not a big deal but it bugged me.
So I grabbed my bottle of 'High Performance' Silicone oil and put a few drops down the transfer port and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Came back loaded a pellet and shot... slight dieseling really only evidenced by the smoke and smell. Cool.
I cocked it again and got distracted by strangers (workers) checking out my neighbors back yard and went to investigate. Satisified that all was good I returned to my plinking.
Picked up the rifle aimed and fired and
POW
! I mean LOUD! Like a rimfire PB..... tons of smoke... oops! Forgot to put a pellet in!

I was really taken by surprise with it. If anyone says that silicone oil should not diesel or detonate well, this proves them wrong

I experimented that 2 years ago. I had bought a Crosman Vantage NP and, having read the manual and feeling the rifle "squeaked" too much when breaking its barrel, I let a tiny drop of "silicone oil" in the piston chamber and made it move back and forth a few times before letting it rest for a couple of days.
Then the first shot I did helped me identify every neighbor's dog and I expected a possible police visit. It just didn't happen and I may have been more surprised than this rimfire-shot-like sound deserved.
But now my silicone oil tube has been lying undisturbed till now.

I recently put some silicone oil in my Hatsan 125 .22 and got a loud crack and puff of smoke with the next shot. Not a problem neighbor-wise where I live, but it scared the bejesus out of me
