Gamo Urban BBT group for triggertreat

This is a 35 yard 5 shot group. Bear in mind that this isn't benched. I was standing and using a front rest.

WOW!  Thanks Eddie for shooting and posting the group so I can see another group with the BBT FN.


NOE didn't have the HP either when I ordered the 41gr.  I too wanted the HP version, but like you have stated, the large Meplat on them hits hard.  I also like the little extra weight of the FP compared to the 34gr MKIIs I have been shooting.  My modded .25 Synrod can really sling them fast with and especially without its regulator.


A couple things I am curious about though is what did you size them to, and is your barrel choked.  I am assuming it is.  Sorry I don't know much about the Urban other than many members report great accuracy and also that it has a really secure LCD.

I'm not sizing them. I tumble lube them with Lee liquid alox and shoot them as cast. The Urbans have Bsa barrels, and they are choked.

Interesting...Mine are quite tough to load when not sized, and come out near .253 from cast.  Nothing like having a high grade barrel.  It would be great not to have to size them.

I'm not sure what size mine are dropping at, but they aren't difficult to chamber. I'll try to remember to measure one when I get home this afternoon.

Mine are .2195 at the rear band as cast. Here's another 35 yard group for you too.

I've got the 217-30-FN myself and these little slugs work fantastic in my Airmax Dominator, they shoot accurately and they work good in the magazines also.  I've shot them in my Prod and Crosman 150's as well with no hitches.  I even shot them through my SPA Master blaster while I was casting them on my back porch one day and nailed a red squirrel with it.

That's good to know. I'll have to try them in my 2250 hpa. I think I'm pretty much done with buying 22 pellets now that I have this mould.

Thanks for showing me the slugs will actually fly straight.  They are designed by our very own Mr. Bob, so I didn't have any hesitation ordering this mould.  I just have to either figure out how to get them through my .25 Marauder without issues or replace the barrel or gun.  I want to cast and shoot slugs in .25 or .30 caliber from now on and that's just the way it's gonna be, whatever it takes.

I do like the MKIIs and they do fly really straight.  I have dispatched many birds out at 100 yards roughly with them, but I didn't really buy this gun for birds.  With these slugs, even though not tight groups, they really do put the smackdown downrange.  Man they hit hard.

I don't have any desire currently to cast for my .22 as I have a vast supply of 18.13gr that are lasers out of my WAR hammer forge barrel.  Maybe one day.

I have achieved 1/2" groups on a 100 yard rifle range with cast slugs using my Slayer, which has me hooked on slugs.

I've also got a couple of the .22 pellet molds too and they're extremely good molds and I also won't be buying .22 pellets or above because I've already got a few for the .25's and if I get anything above that I'll definitely be looking into what else NOE has to offer as well.

I don't have an air rifle with enough power for anything over 40 or 50 yards with slugs, but the accuracy I'm getting is more than adequate for my needs. I enjoy casting for my firearms, and now I can do it for my airguns too. I'm a happy camper.

Bob is a talented and generous man. We are lucky to have him in our community.
