Need help to decide between Walther Terrus and Hatsan Dominator 177

Hi everyone
I Try to decide between Terrus and Dominator in 177 cal, I like spring piston ,want to plink and hunting at 40-50 yards shooting starlings), here are the break down:

Power : both guns shooting around 800 fps with 8.4 gr  (about 12 ft )
Power source: both are spring pistons
Platform : Terrus break barrel ---- Dominator fix barrel
Trigger: Terrus match trigger ( claim by walther) ---- Dominator quattro trigger
Sight: Terrus open sight---- Dominator none ( I use scope anyway )
Stock : Terrus wood (nice) ---- Dominator polymer plastic
Weight: Terrus 7.5 lbs ( perfect but more recoil ) ---- Dominator 9.7 lbs ( heavy but absorbs recoil )
Reload time: Terrus faster ( break barrel ) ----- Dominator slower ( fix barrel )
Price : (at this moment ) Terrus $149 by AoA ----- Dominator $159.99 by Hatsan USA
Accuracy : both are having good reviews and this depend on the skill of the shooters

I really want a gun can shoot accurate and tipping toward the Dominator because of the fix barrel ...but the Terrus is German made and easy to handle  with lighter weight... hard to make decision your opinions are appreciated

I've got both guns. A .177 Terrus and a .177 Dominator 200 carbine. If I had to get rid of one the Terrus would have to go. Dominator is abetter gun IMO.

I didn't see that coming!
I had a couple Hatsan 95s and a Striker that I haven't been thrilled with, although I'm used to more expensive old-school HW quality.
I would've guessed the German Walther would be better, but I've noticed some reviews are 5 star and some are 2 star for the Terrus.

Terrus...Simpler, smoother, lighter. Triggers are about even.

 I was looking at the Parrus also when it was on sale for $99 ! But I let it passed the power of the gun is too much for 177 cal, the pellets might be wobbling in flight and someone mentioned may be it made in China for the Walther just like the Diana ( some guns) but the Terrus on the other hand is made from Germany for sure IMO.

So far we have
2 for Terrus and 1 for Dominator

They both are good guns, I don't really need a gun but the bargain is so temptation and never have an under lever from Turkish ! technically the fixed barrel has advantage in accuracy over the break barrel, but today gun manufacturers producing a lot of good break barrel airguns ( better lockup mechanism ) that can rival the fixed barrel.

I paid $250 for the Dominator carbine. That was a bargain when I bought it a few years ago. I paid a friend $100 for the Terrus. I never had a 95 but I have a Hatsan made Webley Tomahawk. I'd let the Tommy go before the Dominator.

I know what you mean about a .177 Parrus power. I doubt the advertised 1300 fps. I think heavier pellets might fix that. I just don't care for .22.

DanD mentioned the Striker. I've got one and a VMX and I have sold a couple other Strikers. They're ok but junk compared to the other guns mention.

Those Diana you mention are SPA's airguns.  they're solid shooters, all of them and my PP700 is my most accurate airgun, period.

If I was going to opt for either the Terrus or the Dominator, I'd probably swing for the underlever.  My Hatsan was a squirrel-killin' monster, at some point down the road I'll be getting a Hatsan underlever.  Hatsan uses German barrels.

   I can't speak for every .177 Terrus, but mine has a poor barrel that is over bore. Pellets can free fall through the barrel.  A 17 caliber vmax bullet can as well.  I like most everything about the rifle, and have detuned it to 10 Ft lbs, but it can only shoot accurately with maybe two pellets at 20 yards.  If you only shot at 10 you would never see it.  But the pellet isn't getting good spin stabilization and by 25 yards groups open up considerably.  The rifle was touted as a modern FWB 124 by a certain blogger or website, and it isn't even remotely close in any regard.  Try and buy the best barrel that you can, because without one, nothing else (like the trigger or power plant) matters.
 
There is nothing German about the rifle other than the name.

NEITHER! Cabelas has the RWS 34p .177 for $149. Light years better than either one you mentioned IMHO. You'll throw rocks at those Hatsan and Terrus triggers after using a T06, guaranteed.

Yeah I forgot about the cabelas RWS 34p for $149.... but I already have the 34 in wood stock that I got last year from walmart for $178 sweet shooter. I think I will order the Hatsan Dominator ,  Thanks for all your inputs

Well I dont own any of those models but i do own a hatsan and German made rifles and I love my german made guns. The quality is a bit  better in my opinion so I'd go with the walther, but I've not had much experience with hatsan besides the one I have and I just got it. But I've heard mixed reviews on hatsan as a brand. But what got me is I asked a pyramyd CSR how the customer service was with hatsan and he said it could be a nightmare I still bought the one I got just to try out the brand and I have to say I'm pleased as of now but if it lasts like my german rifles has over the years is yet to be seen

I got the flashpup in .22 caliber and so far I like it.
