Effect of cold weather on the number of shots

I have noticed that the number of shots I get for my Marauder is about 55 good shots at temperatures above 65 degrees, but only about 40 at 35 degrees. Velocity is the same: just the number of shots are less.
Anyone else notice a decrease in shot count with colder temperatures?

Filling them indoor's then bringing them outside will cool it down, I usually overfill my guns before going out in the cold, by the time I get to where I'm going it'll be down to the recommended pressure. I've never tested the amount of shots I can get per say but it's close to being the same as indoors for the normal fill pressure.
Some people actually leave their fill tank in the cold so when they get to where they're going they'll fill the gun when they get there.

Along these lines I notice a considerable temp change on my P15 when shooting chronograph strings when shooting 70-80 shots at a rate of 5-10 shots per minute. Not near as drastic of a change as with CO2, CO2 would frost the tube at this rate lol...
I've often wondered how many shots I'm losing due to the temp change. I bet it is as many as 5 or more shots.

You shouldn't really lose any shots if your rifle is filled with air that has reached ambient outside temperature in both the rifle being filled and the tank doing the filling. You will however see a change if you fill to normal level with warm air from inside and then go out letting the air in your rifle cool before shooting. Just be careful if you fill with cold air to max and then come inside where the air will warm and expand, could cause over pressurization on the rifle and could also cause valve lock.

i had noticed on my pcp's that my tank pressure was dropping if the temp outside was a lot colder than it was inside. now depending on the temp I use one or two hand warmer attached to my tanks by using the camo fabric type wraps that are available. I can re-use the wraps more than once and it really makes a big difference. just a thought for ya.

Early last Saturday I looked out the dining room window and saw a gopher making a mound. My Flashpup had a full tank, so I grabbed it and went out on the porch and set up for a shot. Naturally he didn't show again. I was in shorts and it was high 30's, so I left the Pup and went inside. A half hour later I realized he wasn't going to show, so went to retrieve the Pup. My 200 bar fill was down to 180 bar or so. Since I'm new to this, I hadn't thought about compressed air losing that much PSI.
