Kral Puncher Pro .25 Trigger Sear "Good to Go"

Finally had a chance to measure my trigger sear and trigger assembly in my new Kral Pro .25 while i had it apart for polishing the contact points for trigger tuning.  Just removing it and glancing at it when in my hand I could tell the sear was heavy duty and NOT fragile or short or whatever.  Not knowing all the specs and all the internal differences between each KRAL model, i can say with certainty that my KRAL trigger sear is "GOOD TO GO".  The PRO in 25 is NOT a powerhouse of a gun so the hammer spring is very thin and light.  They did a good job of building a 35-40 fpe .25 cal.  This thing just SIPS air and while it does not have a conventional internal reg, they regged it in their own way much like what Air Arms did with the AA410C (carbine).

I can also tell you guys with the 1 piece aluminum block for the receiver, this gun is not DAINTY (?) and appears to be solidly built.

I did the Pyramid Air chat thing with someone there the other day, they don't offer the pro with a L.H. montecarlo stock like yours, that kinda bummed me out because I'd rather have the bolt action myself being much stronger than the lever action.  I'll be looking forward to your upcoming reviews of this gun because IMO it has the lever action beat in my book

How did you find the trigger to be in stock form and now that you've tuned it how is it?
Looking at the picture can the set screws be changed out with something else or do you think that they should be left alone?

Hope what I'm about to say makes sense.

Far too often here of people criticizing and 2 stage adjustable trigger when the pull it out of the box for the 1st time to shoot it.  The factories could care less how the trigger feels in OEM form because we have waaaay too many personalities to get it right without us present when they build the guns....

So in saying that, the trigger is fully adjustable and like many triggers today, it has a LAWYER spring in it.  The spring under the SEAR is small but boy its stout.  The one under the trigger is much lighter in compression.  I own a ton of those size springs for "WARM BUTTER" soft to "LAWYER" stiff.  So it was simple for my to find and create a custom spring.  I also polished to 2 large area contact points with my dremel and the polishing bit and some JB Paste.  I then adjusted the allen screws to get the 1st and 2nd stage pull to my liking.  It feels about a 1lb or so but to be honest, I still have to measure it with my Lyman trigger pull gauge.  LOTSA ADJUST ABILITY in the travel and feel of the trigger in OEM form.  The triggers in OEM aren't bad IMO............

I recently purchased a Puncher Mega .25 with the blued metal work and Turkish walnut stock. The trigger out of the box was on the horrid side... I shot it the way it came out of the box for a few hundred rounds to let things wear in somewhat before adjusting it. The way it came out of the box, the transition from the 1st stage to the 2nd stage was hardly discernible. As the trigger started to wear in, I could feel the difference, but it took great care to consistently stop on the 2nd stage properly. The 2nd stage travel was making for some missed shots still... I just took the action out of the stock and performed a trigger adjustment using only the two adjustment screws mentioned in the manual. They had to be adjusted in unison in order to get the trigger to my liking. I like a very low force first stage with a crisp 2nd stage let-off with as little travel as is possible. (Who doesn't? lol)  I was able to get it there rather easily... I do 99% of my shooting off hand. The trigger pull as it came out of the box made accurate shooting in this stance difficult. It's now smooth as pie! I love how this rifle sips air too! With the power adjustment set to just past halfway, I'm getting 50 shots at an average muzzle energy of ~25 FPE. Plenty for knocking down steel targets out to 75 yards. The power is right in line with what I get out of my Crow Magnum and Webley Patriot air rifles in the same caliber. The Kral Mega loves the H&N Field Target Trophy .25's too, just like all my gas spring and springers do! Nice! It's also nice to know that I can run up the power to ~40 FPE by turning the power wheel all the way up and switching to the 25.4 grain JSB Exact King pellets. The Kral likes them as well for accuracy! All in all, I'm very happy with this rifle!
