HELP!!! The .25 magazine is stuck in my Benjamin Marauder!

I actually shot a double feed without removing the shroud and it did not touch my baffels! I did not know I had a double feed or I would have removed the shroud. With a heavy hammer spring OR the TSS you have to really pay attention so you don't double feed.

Though a soft metal for sure ( like brass i would guess) is better than wood .....in my case I used gentle force and don't think I ever came close to the breaking point of the dowel (they are fairly delicate though.) 4 or 5 of the pellets  eventually came out as I kept trying to pull the bolt back to free the mag but being a new gun it was tight and I didn't want to break anything, it just kept feeding them ... I do have a new rifle and it was the first shoot ever with it.  It will get a little smoother i am sure .......

I just had this happen to my prod camping with friends. One guy ran the bolt back and forth till the last shot in mag, jamming several pellets in barrel. Locking that mag in with bolt stop, so now pellet was half in half out. The mag bolt stop made it not able to push pellets back into it. I unscrewed shroud. Loosened the two small allens on top of reciever and pulled barrel out. Then I was easily able to push out pellets with cleaning rod, and mag came free.

I've always had good luck shooting out a double load up until the last time.  This last time, with my .25 cal tuned to 56 FPE, it destroyed all baffles, the air stripper and the end cap.  All shattered parts have been replaced and I'm back in business, but will be hesitant to shoot out another double load.  56 FPE doesn't play around.


I will add that I didn't know the double load didn't exit the barrel, so the subsequent shot added to the destruction of the pieces and parts.

Don't feel too bad I think that we all do it a few times during the learning process. I have done it with my RS II .22 and My Marauder while it was still a .25 with similar results and maybe once with the BSA 

I shudder to think what kind of damage the .30 bullets would do the the inner stuff in the Marauder now at 102 FPE

To tell the full story, while tuning,  I forgot to install the two front breech screws.  I knew something was wrong when an O-ring blew out of the end cap.  This was part the mayhem.  Part of getting old I guess
