Crosman 1400 T-port mods

Morning All,

So, I have seen that some use a piece of ice-maker tube instead of the two piece factory transfer port set up in an effort to increase the flow rate through the port to increase muzzle velocity.

I have also seen that others are actually opening up the ports to do the same. I pulled this from @Big Bore Bart 's signature line for a mod he did- "13xx t-port, opened ports"

Can anyone share their experiences with either or both of these techniques- pro/ con to either approach? I'm particularly interested in results data if anybody has that.

I'm not looking to go nuts with mods and such, but I am sure that I can perform simple ones in a "monkey see, monkey do way" if someone wants to tell me how and since I have the gun apart, now would be the time.

I don't think people are using the ice cube maker tubing as an improvement over the factory transfer port set-up,  they are using it because they don't have the original pieces and the refrigerator tubing is cheap and readily available, and is the same size as needed.

Pretty interesting, but I think I'm going to leave well enough alone and keep this one stock.

If this turns out to be more than an passing infatuation, I might look at doing this to different one.
