Just sharing a project, maybe it will inspire others. So, what I really want to do is carve a walnut pistol and foregrip for my condor to replace the stock components, but I really dislike the stock trigger/safety guard as it is just a piece of mild bar stock that is slotted and bent to shape. The TT website has a bolt on solution and I would be lying if I said it didn't have any influence on my design... but it would be crazy to spend $80 on a part like that when there is a perfectly decent bridgeport in my shop. I didn't take any photos while I was building it. I made a solidworks part and used it as a starting point but I made a several last minute design decisions after the chips were flying. I like the idea of using the AR15 grip interface because I just happened to have one of those grips lying around. I think mating surface shape on the grip should be pretty easy to recreate with walnut.
The photos are unfinished aluminum parts and they have the usual shop imperfections. There is a shop in town that does firearm coatings so I think I'll take it by there and ask about matching the stock AF anodized black finish with cerakote.

Nicely done! While commercially available it seems to be a
fairly common DIY project
too.

nice work!
I wish my mill wasnt down for the last year
I so badly want to mill a 6061 stock skeleton to wrap in 2x2 twill carbonfiber or 3x3 twill gold kevlar, utilizing an ar grip and stock tube.

That sounds pretty rad. I've never carved a wood gun stock before. There is a fella named Trevor Doan that makes wood grips that are sort of shaped like your hand, and quite beautiful actually. I think I might try and make it from clay first to get a feel for the shape.
