I recently contracted with a spring manufacturer to make a high performance replacement spring. It works in the Daisy 1938B Red Ryder, 1998 Pink Rider, 105B Buck, etc. and the Rogers, AR made BB guns like the models 94 (NOT 1894), 95, 96, 99, 102, 104, 105, 110, 111, 1105, etc. It is also a great replacement for the original springs in many Plymouth, MI made Daisy lever action BB gun that may have become lost, broken, sacked and/or distorted over the years and will bring back the performance of these old guns provided the seals are working as they should. If the leather seals are shot or the original air tube has broken off, converting the gun to synthetic seals and the new style air tube is easy to do. NOTE- This spring has not been tested in the model 1894 or 25 pump gun, so I cannot recommend the spring for use in them. Please contact me with questions about your specific application if you are unsure.
 
The results I got when I installed one in a new production China made Red Ryder 1938B- with no other performance related changes- netted 346 fps MV from a 265 fps baseline. That's equivalent to the performance of the original Red Ryder. It will now reach targets at 30 yards plus using a proper sight picture.
