Cheap 6-24 scopes are really what magnification ?

anyone know what is the approx real magnification of the many $30 6-24x scopes on ebay amazon ?

 The actual magnification will be real close to advertised!  BUT......the sight picture will be like looking through screen door on lower magnification and useless on the high mag.  Suggest buying a higher quality used rifle scope with better glass and turrets. Do some shopping in the GTA  members Classified gate where the best bargains can be found.

You really do get what you pay for when it comes to optics.  Centerpoint scopes are one of the bad ones too.  A 3-9X centerpoint (I've got three of the same kind) are probably only good at 3-4X, anything above that and you might as well hang it up.

Got 3 of these on non-springer AG and clear from low to high mag once adjusted.

I casually estimated mine to be 16x but I recall someone taking a more careful look at it and found it to be 14x.  Scotchmo I believe it was.  Nonetheless it’s much clearer than other inexpensive scopes I’ve tried around the same magnification...and by inexpensive I mean scopes costing 2x - 3x as much.

i have one of these and do not know what the actual mag is,

but they are pretty clear and mine has worked very well.

probably the best glass you can find in a scope for $35
