The crosman 2200 gets the honorable mention.
The 2100 and 2200 tied ( least votes of the 10 ) so I made an executive decision to put the 2100 on the list as its sold more and has been in production longer.
The whole honorable mention thing is just a formality anyways so I don't think it matters.
I hope everyone is fine with this.

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure these guns are in no particular order as some tied, the 2200 and 2100 tied so I chose between the two as they had the least votes of the lot.

I hear good things about it, but this list is exclusivity for pumpers and the 99 is a lever cocking springer.

About the only thing that surprises me is the 880 coming in ahead of the 760. They'd both been sold for a long time. The 760 longer. I thought they'd be more even than that?

Stoked I have 3 of the top 4; a C series Sheridan, a Benji 392 and a Crossman 1322.  Love em all.  My 1322 "Bird Buster" is a custom build from Crosman and is 1" group or less at 30  yards.  Not bad for a pumper.

The 880 got more votes, probably because it's a more accurate gun than the 760 which rarely had a rifled barrel.

True enough. But I bet my 760 variant 4 could give one a real run for it's money. Stock smoothbore, but shoots quite well. Here it is to the left of the 760 variant 1, with the NOS 761xl barrel;

You got lucky then, because my 2nd variant isn't even close to being as accurate as my 880.
Ive heard of them being surprisingly accurate sometimes, I just didn't get lucky.

I wonder if a smoothbore barrel can be effected by bb's ?

My gun was found at the dump after all, so maybe that's a good excuse for its 1" at 5yds accuracy.

I tend to think a smoothbore is very likely to be effected by the steel BB's. The way they bounce, spiral, etc as they move down the bore? All that sliding, bumping and banging can't be good for it? Made those paper targets look like a small shotgun was used.

David, it might be worth coughing up the $10 for the rifled barrel from Crosman.  Even on the garbage modern all-plastic 760s you can get some real accuracy.  Problem is the clamshells flexing and the scope slowly shifts.   

On the older 760s with quality plastic (uggh!) they are a real investment.  I fixed up a neighbor's early 80's 760 with the rifled barrel from the MK-177 and it has proven quite accurate.

However, I'm really thinking about getting an 880 just because.
