Bad Day in the Blackrock, things come in sets of 3's?

Well guys, I am alive, but hurting,

Day started out OK, sniped some starlings in the AM,
shut down everything, and went into the kitchen to get a cup, had the 3 dogs in the sun room,
with the very HOT temp, over 100* for the last week, I let the dogs inside to stay cool etc, they were playing around,
I have the shooting rest set up on the West end, slide the door open and have at it etc.

I heard a crash and something hit the tile floor, yep,     you guessed right, there laid LL (QB 79) on the floor,
those 3 dogs had knocked it off the rest while rough housing etc,
I could see the eye piece was out of line etc,       Needless to say, they scattered for other parts of the house.

The daughter called and reminded me, I was to help them lay out the new fence lines etc.
Drove over and was helping aligning a line, walked out into the roadway, looking both ways, no traffic either direction.

The next thing I know, I had a white PU/small trailer bearing down on me at about 30-40',
doing at least 55-60 mph in a 25 mph marked zone.
I jumped to my left and the driver swerved over into the opposite lane, I was hit on the right side/arm and knocked down, by the mirror/side of the truck,
as the driver continued on down the road, finally stopping a 177+ yds down the road and just sat there.

LE and the ambulance was called, I finally got up with road rash/blood leaking from several spots,
bruising on the right side, nothing broken that I can tell etc.
My son went down to the where the driver was stopped, took photo's of him/side the door caved in, broken mirror etc.
Driver refused to get out of the rig, and just set there.

Ambulance/LE showed up and I reported what had happened, along with several other witnesses etc.
Driver was issued a citation to show up in court etc.

Pretty stiff and sore now........

Plus I have finally drawn a speed goat tag after 6+ yrs, season opens on the 22nd,
my right hand (right hand shooter), is so sore I can't pull a trigger/shoot,
so I don't know the outcome yet, if I can go hunting with my pistol for the speed goat etc.

Long story short, I need a new scope for LL (leaking Lena)

Here is what I want to get,
0 to $300 max price range,

Variable power- 2 to 3x by 14-15-16x on the high end, 44/50mm OB end,
Adjustable AO, turret adjustable,
1" or 30 mm tube,
Standard cross hairs or may try the dot reticule, not sure about the lighted types,

Will be used for starling snipping/hunting.

Thoughts or suggestions.........

At least he stopped. You at still vertical, alive and grumpy!  I have seen four people killed by getting clipped and thrown. I mean eyeball seen!

Hope he was insured.   Here the perp would disappeared never to seen again.

Clearidge, sightron, on the upper end of your range.  Centerpoint from Walmart will surprise you at the low end.  Good success with all three.
