Talking .22 or .25 cal PCP running in the 30-50 ft lb range.
What would be differences ... or
what power / efficiency changes might happen
in a gun set up with these differences while staying at the same operating pressure
using a HEAVY hammer at a very short stroke giving LONG DWELL but not much lift ... OR
using a light hammer at long stroke giving SHORT DWELL but a lot of lift ?
Both being set up for equal power of course ....

Scott, others will most likely chime in with their expert opinions. But in my minds eye it really depends on the valve setup the said hammer will be popping. And the resistance it must overcome as far as pressure and return spring weight.
