Replacement Spring or Gas Ram for Accu .22

Phew ! Well, if you are capable of shooting with your pumpers,  then the Accu shouldn't be a problem to you then. Don't give up the Accu, it is an accurate and safe loading rifle. Easy to cock and shoot too. I know your Accu did fail you twice and you are disappointed of her durability. I suggest you give her another chance,  sent her to a professional tuner to tune her up. Change or modify the spring guide . I am sure the spring will not break again. Get the right pellets choice for her too. You will definitely feel a total change of the Accu after a good tune. Try consulting with AI, he has a Accu too, if I am not mistaken, I don't think his Accu ever break the main spring.
My new cfx shot over 2000 pellets with the original main spring and is still good, of course I made a snugly spring guide to fix her up when I found out that the original spring guide was too loose. I did bought her a new spring to change but it was too soft and I fixed back the cant factory spring instead. Cocking is smooth as silk and accuracy is amazing, no twang and just THUNK! The more I shoot her , the better she is. I'm impressed.

So I quite like my ACCU, but the reason that I'm getting away from my springers is the recoil. I picked up the HW 98 because of all the good things I'd heard of it and I wasn't disappointed. The rifle is accurate and extremely well made. However, I've suffered a number of concussions throughout my life and shooting the HW 98 gave me headaches. I tuned it to 12 FPE to try and moderate the recoil; that helped, but not enough. Clearly the HW 98 has got to go. That's all well and good but it did spark an internal debate as to whether I should be shooting my ACCU at all (lack of symptoms when shooting aside). I.E. Is it worth the risk when I can just easily replace it with a non-recoiling rifle? Ultimately, I decided no. I'm going to lose some money selling these rifles and buying replacements, but in the end it's just money. I quite like my brain even if it's about as bruised as an old banana! I'm not trying to add any more mushyness to it.

Well Joe, it is you to decide what is suitable for you. I have no comment anymore and no more further trying to persuade you to change your decision about the Accu. Honestly,  I do understand about those concussion issues. I am suffering tinnitus due to shooting the M41, 106mm recoiless gun, GPMG,and others  during my service in the military as a infantry Sgt.
 Air gunning is just a hobby and leisure sport , not worthy to strain or endure ones health and capabilities. 
There is only one advice from me is : choose the smaller calibre for your air gun.
One more recommendation : Try Feinwerkbau 300S ...easy to shoot, totally no recoil and very , very accurate  .
