New in box webley valuemax .20 on sale on ebay

There is a new webley valuemax in .20 for sale on ebay now. I jiust bought an older model from a member here, since I am doing some tinkering and didn't need a new one. If you offer him 125 on ebay he will probably take it. I know that these have not neen made for some time and they sold for under $100 during the unloading of stock. It's the cheapest way to get a .20 Cal currently. The members here love their vmx. I guess when they were introduced they had some problems which were worked out, but the majority of owners say they are very accurate well made springers.


These were actually made by hatson. The early ones had quite a few differences than the later ones. The early ones had a two piece linkage, longer piston and other differences. T.w. chambers has a part diagram showing the differences. I surmised that the early ones where based on a sightly different design and hatson made changes to utilize parts from other rifles produced in their currenr product line. Hatson does not have .20 Cal any more.  I am guessing that the barrels in .20 cal could have been contracted out or they could have rifled them in house on newer tooling..

I love the .20 and I had fitted a .20 to a rws. 48 20 years ago and it just was the right combination of flat shooting and power. The accuratcy was outstanding.

I saw that too and gave it some thought then decided against buying a second. Just not enough money floating around. Great little gun for the right buyer.

I just fitted a benji np2 gas ram to my webley. Waiting on a piston seal to get some good numbers.

They fit in the Hatsan Striker 1000x stock. Much nicer stock if you're fond of synthetic.

Listing shows that there are three more available. Shipping was crazy-fast but without a shipping box. The factory box was trashed. The seller made it right so no complaints.

The stock isn't real pretty and sounds hollow but it's light and fits well.

Walked around the woods yesterday picking off pine cones and knot holes. Initial impression is good. Very windy today but was able to shoot 10 yards from the garage off of a rest using the sights. Groups were about as good as I could hope for without using a scope.

The Valuemax is adult-size so it would probably be too big and heavy as well.

No idea what the "multiple power levels" are, it's a single shot break barrel. The trigger is a bit crude like all of the non-quatro Hatsans. I think it would improve with some polishing, but not worth the hassle to me. Search for reviews on the Hatsan Striker or Edge springers, same rifle in a different stock with a different brand. I bought mine when they were $99 shipped from amazon.

Yes, I realize that (I have both a VMX/.20, an Edge .25 and a Striker/.25). The point is that they are the same action in a different stock, regardless of caliber and reviews of the Striker/Edge would be helpful in answering Cliff's questions.

Well i read up on these and it sounds like there a decent gun for the money for a .20 cal.  I pulled the trigger and got one from the guy on ebay.  He accepted my offer of $110. $125 to my door.  Cant wait to get my hands on it.

Trigger is the same one as the Striker/Edge and can be made better with a .25 cent screw from the hardware store and a little polishing. Hollow sound in the stock can be gotten rid of by filling it with pretty much whatever you want.

I own 3, all gotten from Amazon when they were selling off the last of them for $99 each. Don't regret buying any of them and money well spent in my book.
