I am looking at getting as Airmax Target Master II from mrodair, i like it because its a simple gun that you could toss in a backpack for camping or something. I have some questions though,
What is the FPS in .177 and .22 with and without the barrel extension
Can you convert it to PCP? (CO2 is annoying)
Is it worth the $150
I would be using it for close range, low cost target shooting mainly, maybe some rat killing.

Adam I recently bought one myself, already opened up the ports in it but I'm thinking about putting a PR900W air tube on it like Avator did with his. It would be really nice if they made HiPAC's for this gun because it would really simplify converting this gun to a PCP. I've thought about getting my own made, I do have access to machines in a mold shop but my brother is the one who has keys to the place.

I have a .177 from Mrodair.
My 8" barrel MV is 525 fps with JSB 7.33 gr pellets which are the most accurate.
My 18" barrel MV is 536 fps with JSB 8.44 gr pellets which are the most accurate.
I like the stock and pistol grip.
My 2 mags were defective and Mrodair sent replacements.
The single shot adapter works good.
The 18" barrel is accurate with the right pellets (JSB 8.44 gr).
The 8" barrel is not very accurate. I emailed Mrodair about that but did not get an answer.
The air stripper works good. The 8" barrel is loud without it.
Adding the air stripper causes a POI shift on both barrels.
The gun is "hold sensitive" with both the 8" and the 18" barrel.
My gun needs 2 more threads on the CO2 cap because it "bottoms out" against the CO2 cylinder.
The CO2 "viewing hole" on the CO2 cylinder is nice.
I like the Umarex Fusion and the Beeman QB78D better than this gun.

The mechanics are basically the same as this pistol....just has the stock/shoulder stock and long barrel.
http://mrodair.com/mrodair_air_max_targetmaster_cp1m_pistol
So while it could be made into a PCP, would need a bit of work on your part. Have to find a MrodAir 'Varminter" PCP valve, end cap, and I'd change the air tube as well (that last might not be needed...but would rather go with caution and use an air tube made for 3K pressure. The co2 system basically gives NO PRESSURE to the co2 tubes (it's like a Crosman 2240 in that respect, the 12gr. cartridge seals to the valve, so the tube itslf could be drilled like swiss cheese and it would still work with co2).
Yes...it's likely worth the $150 for a co2 gun. Converting it to PCP would likely not be a cost effeictve option (although if you like doing your own work on a DIY project, it could be fun).
