2100 leak

Just replaced o rings on valve external and internal holds air but when pumping I hear air. Can I seal outer o ring with dental flaws or silicone tape. I thing I have a leak Round the valve. Got o rings t hardware store maybe wrong size. Try to be self sefiant with the pumpers and use o rings at the hardware stores.    Mike

Could be the wrong size, could need oil, also could've gotten knicked by a burr on it's way down the tube.
