SPA P12 regulator?

Ordered a brand new. 22 p12 today on sale for $280.00.
Rifle is fitted with P10 stock and factory Chinese regulator.
Are these factory reg's any good or should I go the huma route.
Are the barrels still a lottery?
I'm probably going to replace the barrel with a spare Sumatra barrel I've got in stock.
