Currently I use JSB Exact Heavy 10.4 . Out of my Huntsman that I use for Field Target. The other day I tried some lighter Exacts 8.4 they consistently group better at 55 yards. This was shot when there was no wind. I know they will shoot higher velocity and flatter in my rifle. But should I be concerned about wind or? I have about 10 tins of the heavys but not many 8.4 tins. I really wasn't looking to change anything I just shot these to see how much higher they would shoot at 55 yards.
Thanks

We have nationally ranked competitors who shoot polygonal barrels with JSB
13.4
grain pellets because of the wind. So yes, you should be concerned about the wind, especially if you participate in a 20 fpe class and choose to shoot the lighter pellets instead of the heavier ones. 12fpe shooters are limited in their pellet choices, while 20fpe shooters are not.
If you shoot the 10.4s much above 900fps, you can have grouping (spiraling) problems, depending on the rifle and barrel. Try shooting a bit slower (870-900fps) and you may see improvements. While you are permitted to shoot 20fpe (934fps), you don't need to.
