Need some 1077 info

My wife's 1077 recently started to shoot strange. She was shooting silhouettes. The first 10 targets bit the dust, but the second 10 were not being hit. We realized we needed to put it on paper, but then the temperature went into the teens.

So I dragged out the Chrono and found the symthom. For the first 10 the velocity was in the 550 - 400 FPS range.  The next 10 went from 400-200 FPS. So I set up a new 1077 and it ranged the 20 shots from 550-450 FPS.

The old 1077 had fired about 7500 pellets in the last three years. It has been very accurate with the Premeir 7.9 lites. I know better than to open the rifle, did one once. I was wondering about if it would be worth a try to change out the screen and piercing pin along with a seal?

Seems like a cheap try, what do you think?

my take , is the hammer spring has seen better days.. pull it , add a new slightly stronger one , you will be back close to 600 and stay there longer during the string.. youtube has the teardown guide.you literally need to watch the video and go step by step.. If that's not an option as you say , I don't think the piercer , orings or anything else will bring it back to new.
