How to reduce the bleed/release valve sound/noise
«

After searching the interwebs, I've not been able to find any information in regards to reducing the loud release of air when bleeding the lines after filling my rifles' air tubes. Anyone here have a suggestion? I have a Ninja 4500 and a couple 60min carbon tanks. The Ninja's release block appears to be threaded, but the 60 min tanks transfer hose does not. The 60 min tanks are not as important as the little Ninja.
Also, is there any merit in using an inline desiccant filter? I am currently using one, but I suspect that it leads to a load of wasted air. Thoughts?
TIA

If you want to suppress noise that is created when pressurized gas is released to lower pressure, that is essentially same as any muffler/suppressor. Basically you just need to make the gas exit slower this can be done with baffled tube for example.
If your tanks have no moisture inside (which is the way it should absolutely be) you don't need filters/driers.
P.S. I tried a .22 cal suppressor on the fill kit and the bleed noise was pretty much a silent whistle.

When I have needed air bleeding to be quieter, I simply hold a small towel over the exit hole of the bleed valve. I am not aware of anybody making anything that mounts to the tank to do this on an ongoing basis.
The challenge is that to avoid losing air from most gun reservoirs, we want a fast start to the bleed event to drop the pressure quickly, and that leads to the loudest possible bleed.

It sounds like you are talking about a filter on the high side. If so, I'd use one when filling your tanks, but not when filling the gun from those tanks. That would waste allot of air.
A desiccant filter on the low side (input) side would not impact fill times.
I never worried about the noise when venting, but think Alan's idea should work. If you are using a high side filter that noise may be prolonged because of the air in it.

Following.
My dogs freak when I bleed so other than pumping outside in my wife's "she shed" I am all ears. Tried slowly bleeding but the valve in my Disco must have been still open, the 1000 psi I just pumped was gone!

You need to get yourself the new anti noise pressure release apparatus.

Any type of air stripper would most likely be a water stripper as well. If you are doing that with some thing like what is used on a gun, what will become of the "stripped" moisture when collected? Will it be trapped in the baffles? I say, just let it bleed. It's impossible to change the weather. We either adapt to it or relocate

I recommend the towel over the bleed valve when opening. Should help a bit.

I don't think there is a pneumatic muffler that can handle 2000-3000 psi.
