Discovery with a Titan stock? Curious

I thought I read a post where someone married a Titan stock to a Discovery but I cannot seem to locate it. Does anyone remember seeing it? I’m curious as to the process, obviously not a drop in wondering what other stocks could be modified to work. Thanks for your input

This brings up a good point.  I'd love to hear from anyone who has modded any common stock to fit any other gun, especially Boyd's stocks.  I'm sure it's very possible to modify many stocks inletted for one rifle to fit another airgun, but without actually comparing stocks and actions side-by-side, it's very difficult to know what will work.  Not a big deal if they already make an inletted stock to fit your rifle, but it is a big deal if no one makes an inletted stock for your rifle.

As far as the "process"; it would consist mainly of opening up the barrel channel with a rasp and sandpaper-wrapped dowel; chiseling some areas around the trigger assembly, and drilling holes for mounting screws.

I had a Challenger stock modified to fit a Gen1 Mrod... It was pretty darn sweet!  Although, the cheek piece did not go high enough, and I had to make a new one.  The gauge cut out was filled in too.  Also had to drill the gauge hole.  It was a sweet stock!

Now I'm debating between ordering another challenger stock, or a AR2078 stock for my disco build.

My brother had his disco in a titan stock.Ill see if he can chine in.

I just texted him.He will look for pics but says its alot of carving and alot of wood fill in work to close up the hole for the break barrel.
But It was a really nice balance after that.

not ideal way to show pics,screen shot from my old album.
wasnt hard to figure out,wood work was easy but the payoff was a lite comfy well balanced disco.
back then $20 bought a new titan stock,so if i messed up i was only out $20.

I generally don't care for thumbhole stocks, but I really love the look or yours. In my opinion, the Disco just looks like the tube is setting on top of the stcok from the factory, and the stock it sets on is not appealing to me either. Setting down in your stock, it looks, perfect. Thats why I also prefeer the Maximus stock, with the tube tucked down in the stock.

Same-  I do appreciate the amount of work that went into that stock conversion!  After modding my BAM 50 stock... Whew! 

The tube being recessed into the stock is the main reason why I always had a thing for the Katana...  I never owned one, but I think it would be easy to convert a Gen1 Mrod stock to a Disco...  Fill and re-drill the gauge hole (maybe?  dunno), and then just plop in a Disco w/a Mrod trigger group- fill the rest with some acraglass gel, clean up and you're done.  Nearly instant Katana.  I think Crosman literally just slapped a Disco in a Mrod stock and called it a day... not sure though.

I recall one of our members showing a Disco in a crosman nitro-piston synthetic stock that came out well. Trying to remember who?

I also put my disco in a titan stock.  I had a titan and really liked the way it shouldered and handled.  I like one shot's finger and thumb work on his stock.  To keep mine as light as possible I didn't fill the stock front, but only supported the sides with cross dowls.  It's quite dooable, but as Ed China says, it's a lot of fiddley work.
 Also had to make allowances for mrod trigger and .250 breech riser.

To save a lot of work you could put a regulator in disco, that would remove gauge.  Then no hole to cut.  Get a new quick fill with gauge on end.
