Change 1377 to .22 cal?

Hi All,
Decided I want to fiddle a little with making a few mods to a 1377 that doesn't see much use. I've just received an 18" .22 cal barrel I want to put on it. Have a steel breech too. Anyway I seem to remember a post that said I would have to change the bolt so I could use the .22 barrel. Is that right? or are there other considerations?
Thanks!

Hi Steve, If your new barrel is a drop-in fit to the 13xx, then all you need is a .22 caliber bolt and some changes to your barrel band - drill/ream your barrel band to 7/16", or get the barrel band for a Crosman 2289, or a custom barrel band.

If you order a .22 caliber bolt from Crosman, add a .22 caliber seal too. Some aftermarket vendors include the seal.

IF you end up needing any more info, don't hesitate to ask. Now when it comes to the probe for the bolt, the .177 uses a 004 O-ring, the .22 uses a 005 O-ring.
And if you really wanna have a good time, get hold of a T-5 Torx bit. An allen wrench works on the ultra-dinky breech screw, but unless you have a set of high end (precision machined) hex keys, the T-5 Torx bit fits more precisely. A nifty thing about the longer steel breech is you can then drill a second barrel retention hole, thread it, and secure your barrel even better.
