Hatsan air cylinder ??

I had picked up a new air cylinder to install a Huma regulator in my .22 AT44. Wanted to keep the original one untouched. I did vent it by notching the tube and valve threads and removed the oring. I filled the air cylinder to about 150 bar. Then had to let it sit for the last 6 weeks due to a medical issue. The air cylinder held the pressure the whole time. I felt good enough to try to shoot for the first time today. I filled to 200 bar and went and fired a mag through the gun. Then I heard a hissing sound. So I unscrewed the cylinder and air is leaking from valve transfer holes. I tried to fill it again but it still leaked. Then pulled the regulator and refilled to 200 bar. Put the valve in a glass a water and it doesn't look like it leaking at all now. Any idea whats going on with it?

Small piece of (insert something) got between valve pin and seat? I would pull remove the valve again clean valve, pin, reg, o-rings and inside cylinder. Reassemble and air it up again. Oh yeah, inspect the o-rings when you clean them. Hopefully it is something that "simple".

Currently its holding air but I did remove the regulator. Just disappointing since my shooting time will be limited until this shoulder heals up.

Sounds like there's some trash in there or something. Just out of curiosity, what pressure is it set to? It is possible that the regulator is set too low for the valve to seat, if you have too much hammer spring, because the hammer spring is always leaning on the valve. When you left the cylinder sitting, was it in the gun(IE no hammer spring leaning on it)? A good way to test this theory is to fill the new cylinder to the same pressure the regulator is set to, and shoot a few shots and see if it leaks then. I would try shooting a 2 or 3 magazines with the air cylinder full and no reg. Given it is a new cylinder, it could be that the valve just isn't sealing well yet. If that is the case, a few mags through it should settle it down. That's just a couple of guesses, but I imagine it probably something simple
Make sure and put a light coat of silicon grease on the reg o-rings when you re-install it.

Thanks for advice. The regulator came set at 130 bar. I did turn the hammer spring all the way in as instructed in one of the videos I watched. The air cylinder is screwed back into the rifle with out the regulator and holding pressure. I think I will see if I get to shoot it over the next several days with out the regulator and see how it does. If it continues to hold air I will try installing the regulator again and see what happens. Maybe the new valve just needed some break in time as suggested. Thanks for the replies.

So the air tube held air the entire day without the regulator. Even dipped it in some water to make sure there were no bubbles. Tonight I reinstalled the regulator and its leaking again from the port holes. I'm getting a small bubble every 3-4 seconds. Could the regulator be bad?

Did you do the other things I suggested, like see how the cylinder does without the reg at 110-130 bar or shoot a few magazines through it without the reg installed first?
