Some of you may recognize the stock of this rifle I'm building. It's the DAR Gen 2 stock
that Firewalker used to have in his avatar.
I reached out to him about it and he sent it to me for FREE! Just paid the shipping.

Sadly, it wouldn't fit on my DAR 3 because of the gauge extension would make it hang way low out of the stock.

So it sat for a month or so and I was building this 2260 gun to drop in a crosman 160 stock. Oh a whim, I decided to see what it looked like in the DAR G2 stock. Well, it looks great obviously!

This action is a 2260 tube that's 3 inches longer and no stamping so I can run just a straight discovery valve for more air space and higher pressure. Has a 22 caliber 14.5" barrel with a shroud off my kral NP03 and a fortitude barrel band. Fitted an Mrod air stripper and 5 baffles inside to hush the bark. Challenger power adjuster, Mrod trigger group, a lefthand aluminum breech from Baker Airguns, a discovery bolt, stainless ball bolt handle from David at Alchemy Airwerks, .045" hammer spring and valve screws from Magnum Air Power, and my own breech riser and extended hardware.

Currently running 25 fpe for 18 shots with the .161 ports and stock valve spring. With a lightened spring and 3500 psi fill, it will do 32 fpe for 12 shots. Gets a bit loud though.

All in all it's coming along good, very light and handy. Maybe I'll put a Thai side lever on it someday. Just need to bed the stock around the tube, refinish it, and make the trigger guard from some 1/2"×3/16" barstock I have.

Nice ! I made a similar breech block riser for my 2260 to run a shroud. I will post pics. I sent Firewalker a DAR stack earlier this year... I wonder if that is the same or if he swapped stocks and sent you another. I never thought to try the 2260 tube in it. Looks good !

Thanks! There is some space around the tube I need to fill in but I'm happy with the look and feel of it. Did you make your riser from a pvc tube? I did, I also made a screw in hammer pin out of a 8-32 stainless socket head cap screw I turned down. Done this twice now, last time on a disco I wanted to shroud. Drilling and tapping that case hardened hammer is tough!

I made one from PVC but it wasn't very attractive so I 3D printed on that looked great but unsure of longevity. I will dig up some pics and post the riser. The DAR I bought was a dud and I have zero interest in the platform but I can say this.... it's not a terrible looking rifle and the stocks are pretty nice.

Wow! What a true Frankengun! That's more parts from more different brands of air guns than I think I've ever seen merged together to creat one really nice looking air gun! Very well done!

Got out and shot some groups in this god forsaken heat and it seems to like the hades 15.89s for best pellet and definitely does good with NSA 17.5 grain .2175 slugs.

Going to pull the barrel and polish it up and recrown, make sure my port is smooth too. Seems it should do better with more pellets. I tried about 12 different kinds and these 2 are the best so far.

Anyhow, 30 yards shooting from my table top shooting rest. Wind is SSW 11 mph also. I'm shooting to the west.

First pic is NSA 5 shot group with a group of hades to the left of the picture.

2nd picture is also a 5 shot group of the same NSAs.

Either way, I'll feed this thing those NSAs for back yard pesting. 20-30 yards is all I'd need to reach out and get s squirrel in the head with these slugs.
