break-in for new RWS 34P

Got my new 34P. I first cleaned the barrel, then shot a few pellets to check function.
It seemed to be a bit rough to cock (gritty and uneven feeling with hard spots in the cocking stroke), so removed the stock and
lightly
oiled the spring, pivot points, and chamber with RWS products for that purpose.
Mounted a scope and sighted it in @25 yards to check for "droop". Having almost run out of elevation adjustment to get it sighted in I have ordered a droop mount base for it and will re-mount the scope on it when it arrives. I also adjusted the T-06 trigger after that session to give it a bit more travel between the stages as it seemed like it sometimes felt like a 2 stage, and at other times it felt more like a sloppy single stage trigger. Now it's a definite 2 stage, with a good crisp break on the second stage!
It is grouping fairly well with a couple brands/weight pellets, but can I expect these groups to get better as I shoot it more?
How many shots does it usually take an RWS product to reach the point of best accuracy?

Groups should improve a bit as you learn the gun and its favorite pellet.
A decent grade of grease or moly compound on the cocking slot will help smooth cocking.
A couple of hundred pellets should have you well on the way to broken in, though even fifty may make a huge improvement - that's about what it took with my Diana 48.

With a new gun I get two tins of CP hollow points and blast away at cans, mike jugs. After that then I worry about what pellet it likes.

My D34 shot all over the place for 50 shots, then settled down. At 250 shots it was shoot great.
