new scope mounting.

today i purchased a cheap scope rings, for a 3/8's dovetail.  they are weaver branded, but 3/8's dovetail.  i mounted my NEW 4-16 centerpoint scope on them, and tightened everything down good.  shot about 10 shots into a phonebook to test if the scope would creep, it doesn't appear to.  not the most secure of looking scopes, but its definatly impressive enough for 8.99 rings from wally world.  i have never had a problem with weaver branded rings or mounts, but i've never used them on a springer... i guess we'll see.... i have 2 weaver to dovetail mounts on order, with droop compensation in it, and i will remount and sight in when they come in using the centerpoint supplied weaver rings.  very strong looking rings.  rifle looks pretty darned good however!  brings the scope up a bit to a more comfortable shooting position!  i also ordered a 6x32 bug buster scope with sunshade flip up covers, and weaver rings... thats going on the CFX as of right now.... when she gets to me!  THANKS RED!!!!

for the record... scope mounts aren't holding.  they slid back 2 inches in 20 shots.... guess i have to wait for my PA shipment.
