please shoot responsibly! don't shoot papaya fruit with a crosman 760 and pellets like i did when i was 11.. back in 1986
they get stuck inside and they don't make a good sound in blender according to grandma her cousin said the papaya had hard seeds and she never seen that but tasted great!
may they rest in peace!

I asked other owners in another thread I posted on the Valuemax rifles to chime in with when theirs were built trying to sort out when Hatsan changed the cocking arms in the rifles from the 2 piece to 1 piece style but no one chimed in.
It's why I asked Rick when his was built because if his has the 2 piece cocking arm like both mine do, the inside of the Striker stock would have to be modified so the roller on the 2nd part of the cocking arm has a place to fit inside the stock. The newer style rifles with the 1 piece cocking arms will drop right in like my Spector did, which was built 11 14. It made me wonder when they changed them and why I asked owners who said they put theirs in Striker stocks to chime in and post when theirs were built to maybe sort out when Hatsan made the change but no one did.
Here's a couple pics of that roller which is nothing more than a plastic tube on a metal pin on the cocking arm but a Striker stock would need to have some wood taken out of it to make room for that.
And no Lead, they don't have threaded barrel tips like the Tomahawks. At least on mine, the moderator actually does nothing more than give you a cocking grip for your hand and a place for the front fiber optic sight. The end of the barrel is actually about a 1/4 of an inch or so inside it but both mine are still more than quiet enough to be backyard friendly. I have moderated rifles that are actually louder than both my .20's.

Reason I asked about a conversion to a gas ram Steve is that a Crosman ram will fit no problem into , I was wondering about the difference in the parts between a ram and spring is all. Both of mine have a 2 piece cocking arm made 12-11, and they will fit right into my Striker 1000 stock, ( like Bill did), as they have the required ledge for the roller to sit on. As far as the twang goes, I did a tune on mine and put a stock Crosman spring in it from an Optimus. Can't tell much difference in power with that spring, shoots smoother, does not jar you as bad, and no twang now, and more accurate. Just so people know, if you haven't popped yours out of the stock yet. The roller is not attached to the spindle on the cocking arm and is prone to falling off when you pull it out of the stock, unlike Crosman/Benjamin type rifles.

Here's the pic I took of my Edge .177 Vortex when I took it apart, it's just the piston, gas ram and end cap and there's a round extension on the end cap that matches up to the indent in the end of the gas ram to hold it in place.
If memory serves, the only difference between the spring and gas ram versions is the spring guide has that same indent to match up to the end cap. Only thing I can think of you'd have to look for is the pre-drilled hole on the inside of the piston that the end of the ram arm sits in.
My Edge stocks all have that ledge and I have a spare sitting here if need be but the wood stocks don't have it, not that it would stop me from buying and modifying one if I get the itch and it wouldn't be the first Striker stock I've done stuff to.

Thanks for the pics Steve. I think almost all their synthetic stocks have a provision for the roller. I think if there is still one of those left next month I might buy another just to mess with, ( gas ram, shorten barrel for more FPS, tune). I kept the second one I have all stock, kinda want one just as it came from the factory ha ha . Only mod I did on it was epoxied some washers in the fore arm holes to reinforce them. (I do that on all my break barrels now as wood compresses and plastic cracks).
