Prod trigger on 1701

It worked at first but now won't cock. I tried shimming but that didn't work. Unless I need a thicker shim?  Any ideas?

Well as far as I know the Prod and 1701P are the same triggers...don't think any shims should be needed

Brain fart. It's a 1700p that I wanted to turn into 1701p with the upgrade to prod trigger group. It's weird how it worked for a while then all of a sudden no workee.

Check the trigger First and second stage adjustment screws. They are known to move around if not thread locked. it's probably the first stage not allowing the sear to set.  The over travel screw can prevent firing if it contacts the trigger to soon, not your problem just throwing it out there.

When I get a Prod trigger, one of the first things I do is put blue Loctite or VC3 on the little trigger adjustment screws. Apply, adjust to my liking and then let the thread locker set up.

Before I knew to put a little blue loctite on the adjustment screws, one of mine even had a screw fall out and got lost before I knew what was going on.

Put a little of your favorite non permanent thread locker on the adjustment screws, reset to your liking, let set, enjoy your new trigger.

Fiddled with first and second stage screws. No joy. Took it apart and found trigger spring was out of place. Guess I'm the guilty party!  Shot it some to retune the trigger. Works great now!
