Crosman valve parts on my 1008 are different than crosman EVP schematics

I've been trying to fix a leak in my older 1008 repeatair. I replaced the cartridge seal with a new one and used airgun oil and it continued to leak through the barrel.  The schematics for the 1008 valve body show 2 different parts set ups,  an O ring, a Puck seal and a retaining ring which the valve stem fits through.  Mine had none of them when I opened the valve up.  Mine had a White rubber faucet type washer that goes over the valve stem.  It's sealed with a threaded brass cap that the washer fits on and the cap screws into the body of the valve body.  On the their schematics It shows an O ring and what's called a puck seal and a retaining ring that I guess is supposed to hold it in.  It doesn't work on my gun.  Non of the schematics show this washer and threaded brass cap.  The other parts I ordered don't fit at all.  The valve on mine isn't made for that set up  I've checked several models of guns and the pictures all show the same kind of valve that doesn't fit on mine. The T4, the 1088 evps show the wrong valve for mine.  Holiday weekend and Crosman is closed.  I'm lost and about had it. HELP?  Any suggestions?

I always wonder how come my new posts never have New by them?  Am I doing something wrong?  And how the *(&^ do you delete or edit  a post?  Not getting much feed back on this sight,  Gonna join anther one see if that works out better.  It doesn't hurt to try others.  I think this schematic I found has the right seal for my gun. Cant wait to call Crosman and tell them their parts list are wrong. I think the 1077-052 on the valve drawing is the seal I need and the 10077-051 is the brass threaded cap.  Figured that out all by my self without any help.

Replace the whole valve assembly. The T4 should work fine. I believe this is what I did. No screw-seal valve parts any more. Dave

I'm going to call going call Crosman after the holiday and see if they still carry that seal.  I made one similar to the one I took out from a sink washer the same size,  but it still leaks through the valves tip into the barrel. I'll  see what the price of the other type valve is and if its worth the headache getting this thing back together.  I got it back to working for single and double action. The only problem is the seal. I guess it's the valve seal.  I already replaced the the cartridge seal with a new one and that didn't stop the barrel leak.  Thanks for replying and the info, I appreciate it.  It was a good gun, it fired 8 shots as fast as you could pull the trigger both single and double action, and packed a pretty good punch on targets.
