Just something to think about, using some numbers posted on another forum from a dealer I can't mention here (and rather than link to his post, will link to my responce).
http://www.network54.com/Forum/113813/message/1495899044/Looking+forward+to+it.
26mm tube? Meaning that if they did use 1.5mm wall thickness, one could just stuff a standard QB tube (about .86" diameter) inside?
So a little closer photo-analisis/measurement. ASSUMING a QB78D type 15mm diameter barrel (or somthing real close to that), the Chief's tube diameter phot-compares as just a tiny bit less than two barrel diameters. A QB co2 tube is a lot less than 2 barrel diameters.
YEp...the visual clues were there, we just missed them.
They certainly made a new rifle of it. Can see the sense in that from a liability stand point...would make it impossible to retrofit the old co2 versions by using the PCP parts.
I'll be patient and(once it arrives) test it a good bit in "as issued" from....but am pretty sure couriosity will lead me to void the warrenty and take it apart to see the new internals that go along with that.
Using the other numbers, but without seeing the gauge block or internal volume of the valve...would have to guess something near 150cc's (give or take 5%).
