Scoping a bullpup

Another question about the Kral Puncher Breaker but relates to all bullpups I guess. The way I understand conventional wisdom is to mount a scope as low or as close to the receiver as possible. Does that hold true for bullpups as well ?

With my Bullboss, which is my first bullpup, I discovered that the scope has to be built up to align the scope with the shooter's eye comfortably and minimize head/neck contortion

On my mutant my scope is 2.6 inches over the bore centerline and I get a perfect cheek weld.  This will change from person to person and depending on the gun I assume but the general wisdom is that the scope will be much higher on a bullpup.

 Any updates? What scope and mounts did you go with?
I'm looking for something compact , around a pound and 12-13" with AO  in the 3-12 range or close to that.
Any recommendations?

Caretaker, My Kral purchase has been "interesting" to say the least. I too am waiting for a WAR tuned .22 from Travis, Fedex says it will be here today. I think I am going to mount a hawke 6-12x44 I already have coupled with a .7" rail riser. If I don't like it I'll look at compact or BugBuster scopes. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this weekend and I'll get to shoot it some.

 I looked hard at the bug buster. But finally ordered the
UTG 3-12x44
 mil-dot with lighted reticle and high mounts and a parallax adjustment wheel. If this doesn't work I'll add a picatinny riser

   Waiting on my Black and Silver .22 Bull Pup from Baxter Walton. He's dropping a reg in her and building baffles for extra quite shooting and polishing the trigger.  I have a Hawke AirMax 4-12-44 ready and waiting with medium mounts. I love that retical on that scope. Baxter should have her to me in two weeks. It's in his possession at the moment. But, he is moving his shop,to his house. So he's running a little behind schedule at the moment. Super excited to recieve her and put some JSB 18.1 and 16gr pellets to the test!! I have a few tins of Predator GTO that I want to test also.

.457, keep us posted when you get it. FWIW you might want to go ahead on find some high rings. Seems the rail is too low for most of us. I went with a .7 inch riser and high rings, still not crazy about it ( gun is great ). Ordered a UTG 4016x44 compact scope for it to see if it makes much difference.

I have the utg 3-12x44 on my marine punch breaker . Works great zeroed in with no issues
