Hi Guys,
Discontinued means mostly the days are numbered.
But the fans know where i't is all about; accuracy, light, value for money
and some minor issues
So i thought i make one special.
- 6mm transferport all the way two extra power hammersprings when needed.
- polished hammer & triggerparts
- adjustable alloy/wood cheekpiece for scope use instead of iron sites
- N2 optics 10-40x56sf 100m succesful scope
- softer cockinghandle pull add-on rubber in black/brasstyle
- Bisley adjustable alloy backed recoil pad
- classy ammobox & pellet pushstick
- special maintanance tools for front and inner parts
it likes 9.62 roundballs but .357 others too...
regards

follow-up
some background information
the Bisley alloy parts were made to fit with the original pad on top and grinded the alloy with a grinding wheel and powerfile.
The ambidex cheekpiece is copied from a Evanix AR6 .. first paper drawn the shape over and then cut out in alloy and bend it into shape finished with wood and varnished it.
The cockinghandle rubber add-on is 10mm rubberpetrolpipe outside 15mm which makes it possible to use a bras waterpipe endpiece; filled with silicon gasket maker
Cocking is a pleasure all day long close to the breech and soft for the pullingfinger.
A nut tool was made from a thread which was grinded in and got a piece of metal in it.
When used inside it will be covered.
Everthing can be removed and the Fire can be brought in it's original state.
Later when i used the gun for a while, i like to go into molding "slugs" as well
regards

Very cool, nothing like building up your own gun to suit, do you use it to hunt? What kind of slugs do you mold for it,? J

Hi,
thx.
It's for targetshooting and funshoot.
And besides that i enjoy tinkering as well.
The molding part is yet to come ......
when i have tried several "slugs" from others.
But i'll take my time for that.
The experience is that that works better.
I have this Fire just a few weeks. Beside my R-10 .22 and the AA S510 .25
I did a lot of reading about it before wanting one and had to wait my chance to get one cheap. Accuracy is always my main point and for the rest i consider if i can live with the minor points or improve them.
In the Netherlands the new trend is the Corsair so the time was right to get one.
Almost brand new and not even shot in i think.
The Corsair is popular because it can do the same as the dutch Beaumont, which is also very popular but much more expensive. Both are top right out of the box.
The Beaumont won the 100m and the Corsair was second.
The Fire needs some extra attention before you get the higher powerrange.
Both the Beaumont and the Corsair have longer barrels then the Fire.
I wonder what the .308 barrel would do with the Fire or a 28" Lothar Walter 9mm barrel.
I have to get into that. Who knows what it will bring.
Guns are for shooting and not for the catwalk, but nothing nicer then one that shoots as beautiful as it looks.
i like that "wow" feeling after some accurate shooting and then looking at it .."nice piece of kit"
regards

Hi guys,
The response in the thread "what bigbore to buy" gave me some inspiration to get a softer pull on the trigger by using a smaller spring from a pen.
and to shorten the travel of the trigger by adding a small piece of metal on "a"
So the trigger is semi-adjustable now.
It's a trail & error thing with the thickness of the small piece of metal that you put in the trigger.
The trigger has very little flesh to put a screw in
That is why the little piece of metal is used.
It is an alternative solution.
If you make a new triggerblade with a little more flesh under side "a" then there is room enough for an adjustment screw.
Although .....there is no force of any kind needed
so, may be i'll make the extra screw as well an other time but that takes extra attention in doing because there is little room for faillure
I have to test this solution for a longer period of time before i do so.
But sharing it with you can bring some good ideas from others.

Well the rubber hood on the original cockinghandle didn't survive ....
Time for a bigger handle then...
What would a tinkerer be without a grinding tool...
The new handle is 45 gram's instead of the 7 gram's of the original handle so that add's 38 grams to the hammerweight.
It's not about beauty but all about cocking easier. And that works
Now there is room for a stonger hammerspring.
