Hatsan AT44s-10 Long QE....22 or .25?

I have decided to sell my BAM 50 .177, and buy a Hatsan AT44S-10 Long QE. (No, I have not decided on a price yet, but would be open to reasonable offers) The AT44 will be used primarily as a small game hunter, mainly nutters and bunnies, but my horizons could expand with the additional capabilities the AT44 will offer. My conundrum is...do I order it in .22 or .25 cal? I initially thought .22 would give me a much flatter trajectory, but with the added power from the 230cc bottle with the "long" variant, I think that is a non issue, since most of my hunting is done below or near the 50 yard range. Theoretically, the .25 cal should increase that range out to 75-80 yards, with plenty of retained energy at target. I will be installing a CP 4-16x40AO scope on the new gun.
I would appreciate some input, and actual performance data, from owners of this gun in both .22 and .25 caliber. In .25 I would probably be using JSB Kings 25.4gr and H&N Baracuda 31.02 pellets, as they have performed well in my Hatsan 95 Vortex and Hatsan 125TH.

I choose an at44 short .22.
Kills coons and rabbits out to 100 yards with ease tuned to 32fpe.
I regret not getting a .25 cal long.
Pure power.
My .22 withing 30 yards will kill coyote and small hogs,a .25 would do it at futher ranges.
A .22 will do alot for you.I dnt feel a .25 would serve me better results for small game.
Higher ammo costband mail ordered only in my area.
The flight trajectory does not bother me,learn it,master it,done.
The .22 long should sling 21 grain ammo at around 900 fps for 30 shots with ease.
Still wish I had went .25 but the .22 does more than I need.
Pick your poison.
I'd go with a .25 cal bullboss,an excellent hunters choice.
In .22 Id go with the lighter guns like a Kral ot talon.
Walking woods for 2 hours with my at44 short is tiresome when carrying home half dozen bunnies as well.

For what you're doing, a .22 will fit the bill nicely, and you have easier ammo availability if you run out of pellets. You can find .22 pellets in a lot of places without having to order them in a pinch. I have more to say, but I gotta get to bed

I have both, for hunting I always take the 25. The added power of the 25 is going to show it's value in the woods. I'm not knocking on the 22, But if you are going to use it for hunting any, you will always wish you had the 25 when you are in the woods. I find myself shooting my 25 more and more. Even just backyard plinking. It is easy to turn the 25 down and shoot it in the backyard then crank it up and shoot it out to 75-100 yards. The 22 is not as easy to shoot out that far.
Bottom line, if you are only going to get one get the 25. The 25 will do everything the 22 will do, but the 22 will not do everything the 25 will do.
If you do want a 25 I have 2 will part with one.
