I'm looking at a new valve from JB that arrived this week and that hole does exist. It is not a casting flaw. It is a drilled hole and can see something silver colored at the bottom. It is not installed so can't say if anything leaks from it. My guess is that it is some form of "fail safe" bleed hole. I checked the one on my guppy, which is a few years old, and that hole does not exist. I'd wait for Joe's input. PS: I removed the din/male foster part of the valve, and the hole goes all the way through There is an o-ring seal on the bottom of the din connector that should seal off and not allow any air to get to that hole. Try tightening it (1" open end wrench) and if that doesn't work, remove it and check the seal/o-ring (with the valve closed, no need to empty tank).
Got a Tiger shark tank from Joe with the full armor and all the extras. Recently when filling a gun/refilling the tank around 2500psi and up in getting a slow leak from this holeI emailed Joe tonight about it and will see what he says but in the mean time curious if anyone else has had this and what the problem is? Any help would be appreciated. It only leaks when the hose is connected and pressurized. Thanks all

The hole is designed to allow leakage to bleed off to the side rather than through the threads. Just shut the valve and remove your adapter to inspect the DIN face o-ring. Easy peasy!
