Went to a gun show today and a guy had lots and lots of air guns. I bought a 1967 Sheridan for $120 and he said I'll let you have that one ( a 1971) for $100. So I came home with two classic Sheridans.

There are several gun shows each year in my town. I go to all of them, looking for airguns and related items. I usually come away empty-handed, but have made a number of nice finds. It seems most firearms enthusiasts don't know much about airguns and consider them toys or junk. Same goes for older scopes, I have found several nice ones for near nothing. I got a late production Crosman 160 for $75. A Mark II pistol for $5. A Weaver C6 for $5. Bargains can be found if you are looking for stuff that most people aren't. (Congrats on the Sheridans, nice score!)

Lucky! The gun shows around here have the same one guy with the same one table of the same half dozen airguns... He knows what they are worth and prices them over that "just a tad".

Have found most of Sheridans at guns shows, too, and sometimes at some very good prices. Never a sure thing, though. Most of the time, I consider myself lucky to see
any
AGs at all. Still encounter that not real guns thing, up here, too. It's those sometimes finds, though, that keep me going back.

Nice find and score!
The gun shows I've been to here in central VA are interesting. Lots of the same-old-stuff. A few people selling "Those fancy new pellet guns with as much power a 22 rimfire!" meaning Gamo Silent Cat and Crosman Nitro piston. Usually for more than retail- of course it could just be bad luck as I don't go often anymore.
I'd prefer buying Blue or Silver Streak from somebody here and spreading the $$ to somebody else who loves airguns as much as I do, not just considers them as a way to make a quick buck. I figure when I'm ready to buy a .20 pumper, one will show up in the Classified here or I can always put up a WTB.

They had a gun show here recently. Cost us $10 each to get in for Betty Lou and I. Only one gun had one air gun. A rusty old B-x. Rear sight was missing. Wood looked like someone use to bat rocks. He had a tag on it for $100. He saw me looking at it and said.. I'll let ya have that for $60. You have to know how hard it was not to say anything and just walk away. Betty Lou said.. Dang!! Ended up buying a vintage holster for a .22 pistol and a box of .22 shells. All in all with the cost of entry, I could have got a much better deal online including shipping. We did enjoy looking at all the PB stuff, just not our thing.
Congrats on your find.

I'm sorry I'm too old to know how to post photos. The Dans are a 1967 in really good shape and a 1971 that needs some TLC. Both pump up and shoot. I now have 6 Dans. It's an obsession that you guy are responsible for. I bought my first one in 1967.

GREAT FINDS !
I almost never go to gun shows any more, either. $10 to get in & $5 to park at some shows. Guns are almost always over-priced & rarely see a deal. Only air-rifles I ever see are older " Red Ryders."

Prizes I've snagged at gun shows the last five or six years:
Later production CR160 with peep sight: $75
'67 Blue Streak: $65
Second variant CR180: $50
First variant CR180: $50
Early CR160 with auto safety: $60
Crosman Mark II pistol: $5
Benjamin 342, early model: $50
Plus a half dozen or so vintage scopes, $5 - $15. A lot of people think a 3/4" scope can't be any good, so they let them go cheap. I find they are ideal for old airguns. Like I said before, I usually leave a gun show empty-handed but the finds I have made keep me going back.
