bottled airmax plinkster complete!

Well I'm thinking I may be the 1st to of done this to a plinkster!   Go Me!  Anyways, it started out as a Co2 powered .22 cal. from mrodair. I wasn't to pleased with the performance I was achieving with this model, but I loved the weight and fit of this compact carbine. so I decided to add a bottle block from a QB and a 13ci ninja bottle with reg. set to 1400psi. The 1st  obstacle I ran into was that the valve wasn't sealed in the tube as It worked like a 2240 and the valve held all the pressure. so I borrowed another gta members idea and used an oring in the gap where the 2 halfs of the valve come together. then cut the tube and drilled for the tank block screws and decided to add a 3rd one on the top of the block further in on the tube for a Lil added security.  I also took out the smaller of the 2 valve retaining screws and a drilled and tapped it for a grade 8 10-32 screw to handle the added stress.  Finally got it all together and was able to get 800 fps with H&N rabbit magnum 25grns.  worked out to about 36fpe!!  up just a tick from the 10fpe I was getting on Co2....he he! I was happy with the power and now it was time to hone in on an accurate pellet for the rig. so after trying everything that worked in the past for me with no luck i ordered up a tin of 18.1 JSBs . I thought they were worth a try but didn't have much hope for them as the 15.89 JSBs did horribly! I got them in today they were in the mail box when I got off work. so before I did anything else I got the plinkster out set a target up at a ranged 34 yds. and fired 5 shots down range... after the 1st shot it looked like none of the others that followed hit the target! upon closer inspection all 5 shots landed in roughly one  .40 inch ragged hole!!! I was amazed!. that's plenty of accuracy for my needs... almost as good as my .25 mrod . I'll try to figure how to post some pics to share with everyone. but no promises. lol

excellent ! so i can assume the tube diameter is the exact same as the 2240 seeing as how they both fir 12 grams perfectly ?

Very nice!  From 10fpe to 36fpe.  That's a steroid job.  However the accuracy is what matters most and you have that, too.

I bet it is immensely satisfying to shoot now.

it should be pretty darn satisfactory to shoot! that's the only 5 shots with the 18grn JSBs I've shot yet... lol. I can't wait till this weekend , I'll have to stretch it out to 50 and 75yds. and see if it hold it together at those distances.

How many shots per fill are you getting?

I payed $180 for the rifle , about $30 for the tank block. ( which is for a QB79) and $60 for the bottle which I set up to run at 1400 psi. since the original post I've pinned the valve with 2 8/32 screws and built a rva to adjust hammer spring tension. last time I counted I had the gun set for 30 fpe and was able to get 56 shots from 3k down to 1400 psi. and that's with a very noticeable valve burp with every shot.. which has me contemplating building some sort of ssg for this little rifle.
