Guppy Valve Fitting Leaking

I have a leak at the guppy valve. Initially thought it was the 010 O-rings in the detachable hose. They were slightly chewed up from use. Replaced both and still have leak. Soap shows it is leaking behind the large nut that the male foster is screwed into. Removing the nut, I found a green seal that is damaged. So technically, the valve is not leaking, ie post valve. I'm not sure what it is called or where I can get one quickly. Is this a Joe B item only? I'll try contacting him, but wanted to order ASAP.

Fuzzy,
I thnk you are right.
Joe is the only one who uses green o-rings.
Just take the valve to your Ace Hardware (take the green ring too) and they will give you the right size ring.
You can buy a bag of them but in most cases, if you just want one, they will give it to you because there is always an open bag where someone else has tried them on for size....
Yes it happened to me.
How?
When I took the tank to Sports Chalet, they lost the o-ring when they dis-connected from their compressor..

Thx Frank,
I IMed Joe but will also call as soon as they open on the West Coast. What was left of the seal didn't even look like an o-ring. If it is an o-ring, it is like it was sliced around its circumference and peeled open. I'll post a pic this evening.

Joe will send you one.
I have an extra green one in the garage and several black ones.
I guess they move around if not the perfect fit.
The one Sports Chalet lost was on my Guppy that hand tightened hose connector.
After they lost the first o-ring, I removed the connector at home before going to Sports Chalet.
My Tiger Shark doesn't have the hand-tightened connector so no worries but if I have to remove it I am always careful about the o-ring.
Stay safe and.....vote

I got ahold of Joe on the phone. He confirmed that it is indeed an o-ring. He indicated that the fitting is shipped out not snug, assuming that a fill station has to remove it. In my case, I use a shoebox and just fill from the hose. Apparently if it is not snug, the pressure will peel the o-ring over time, like what I have. It has been 2 years to the month since I bought it.
He was not in the shop, and will be calling again this afternoon. He indicated he will ship one out and also provide what the size is.
PS: I originally thought this might have been a shoebox issue before discovering the leak. It would stop in the mid 2K psi, and while early, I had to rebuild the HP cylinder.

While you are waiting for the green one you can still go to Ace Hardware and get one or 10....😝

Joe's helper said they would get one out. From measuring the fitting, it looks like a 112 o-ring. I found one in my stash and so far it did not leak on a gun fill. The real test is a guppy fill at 4.5Kpsi.

Just got back and had an envelope in the mail from Joe, with 2 O-rings. They are slightly larger (diameter) and feel "harder", probably 90D. Anyway, replaced my temp with the new one. Thx Joe.
