Sheridan repair work

My friend wants to get his boyhood Sheridan Silver streak going again. The gun is 40 years old and will only take one pump and bleeds out.

Who can he send it to nowadays? There used to be a guy in Sunset Louisiana that specialized in these old pumpers but I can't find him.

Any info is appreciated.

If Motorhead is happy with Scott then that's a wise decision. Depending on where your friend is located optional choices would be Mac 1 in California and Baker airguns in Ohio.

Scotts in Wisconsin so a whole lot closer than sending it to the west coast.

Yea, Scott is much closer. If he's too busy I'd be more then happy to get her going again. I'm all the way in Cali like Timmy, but my cost is minimal and I'll have it back to the PO by the end of the week. Shipping charge from you to Cali will run 20-25 each way.

Leaving up to my friend. I found the guy in Louisiana and the old guy is still doing it. He said he had a few for sale so I am going to go check to see what he has. He he. Like I need another ........

I broke out my old E9A and killed a few cans, then I broke out the old Smith and Wesson 77A and killed a few more.

My buddy can't go wrong with you guys suggestions but it will probably be easier for him to just drive over there that ship it.

 Shipping charges can be a deal breaker. Like Rob said, I recently sent a Sheridan to Cali. I pulled the stock off and put it in a nice compact shipping box and sent regular mail. Surprisingly it got there in 2 days from Alabama but it cost $25+.  Ya know, it's really not that hard to do yourself. You can save a ton and learn quite a bit. It's even possible that it don't need rebuilt at all. Maybe a good old flush and lube with ND 30 wt oil or Secret Sauce. I would certainly give it  a shot before busting out the wallet if it were mine. A kit from PA is around $30 and comes with the special tool for the valve. Use a code or make your order on the discount day and you could save even more money. Scott or Rob would do a great job on the old girl, there's no doubt in my mind. Shipping is gonna be $40 to $50. Parts are gonna be $30 and the the labor. Your local guy will save shipping. But I bet you and your friend could combine talents and get the job done for around $30 and spend the rest of the day tossing back a few cold ones and shooting the cans up.
