Crosman model147 renewed

Recently had my Benjamin 312 and Crosman 147 resealed and cleaned by Dennis Baker Air Guns of Ohio.
The Benjamin is shooting 650fps and Crosman now at 890fps with ten pumps, very pleased.
I refinished the Crosman and did a five shot group.

My list of airguns might indicate my love for the old pumpers. It's awesome to see someone else share the passion. Great job.
BTW.. I think you meant 312 not 812.

Got the Benji from my Grandfather and refinished back in high school 1978, been using it for several years and just had the seals replaced.

Thank you sir. I need to update that list.. few more added and a few taken away. I'll wait til after the first of the week. I have a few to put on the classifieds. It's just so hard letting go. Everytime I buy one I tell Betty Lou I'll sell one to cover it... well... that rarely happens and lately she's been calling me out on it.

That's a tough call. I'll have different favorites for days at a time. I just picked up a crosman 2200 magnum from another member and tinkering with it for the past week or so. It also inspired me to get out the pair of 2100s along with the daisy metal/metal 880. We shot those 4 guns all weekend. I sit here at work and something will enter my head about a certain gun and that's the one I'll shoot when I get home. There is nothing like picking up a '37 - '41 1st var. Crosman 101 that has been recently beautified by a fellow member and shooting it just like it was 80 years ago. Or the '48 Rochester. Every one of them have something unique that makes them special to own and shoot. At the end of the day those Sheridans will always remain at or very near the top of the pile. The hold down safety silver streak is one of the most beautifully designed and well built guns ever made, IMO. So smooth to pump and sleek to shoulder with it's slim line. Learning a multi-stroke pumper's capabilities at different distances is something every air gun enthusiast should experience. The old Bens and Dans are so consistent and dependable. Once you master a gun to the point where you can spot a target and know exactly how many pumps you need and whether or not you add a bit of holdover...
I guess I just have to repeat what others have said before.... "My favorite air gun to shoot is the one I have in my hands at any given time".

Ted, just want to clarify, the Silver Streak, and all Sheridans only come in .20 caliber.
