Think twice before doing business with DeutschKSK

Ok DeutschKSK (Matthew D Rezuke) had a Kantana for sale that I was interested in.
He was including shipping and paypal in the price. He was about a 60 mile drive from me so I asked if he could do a better cash price picked up in person.
I made him a counter offer $20 lower than his new price and we spoke on the phone and he said he was OK with the amount.
He emailed me his address, I printed up a mapquest, and was on my way within 30 minutes of the phone call...cash in hand.
I call him on route to let him know my ETA and his tells me he has gotten a better offer.
I've done lots of Ebay and C/L sales and this just isn't done. I've eaten many sales profits after shipping fees, ebay fees, and paypal got done with me. I've manned up and took the slight loss.
It all comes down to-once you agree to the deal you stick by it. You don't change your mind when the buyer is underway to the pickup.

He may not have gotten your money, but that's just downright gauche.
If you weren't a classy guy, you would run by his place with a couple of cartons of eggs and baloney to decorate his property and car.
He should count himself lucky for that.

Just wanted to save any one else from same disappointment.
If you don't feel good about an offer say so, and negotiate further.
Like I said I was within $20 of his price and I would have found the $20 to complete the deal.

So sorry to here that we have a member of this great forum who is not a man of honor, integrity, respect, personal courtesy nor fair play. The fact that this member, DeutschKSK (Matthew D Rezuke), is still a member is a fact that I hope that is not lost on this member. Most everything we do here is based on one member honoring the word of another member. Sending off guns to be tuned, money orders sent and a myriad of other transactions that take place are all based on honor and trust. This is as bad as it gets when it comes to trusting someone. A deal is made then broken. No excuses. NONE! Your every word will be suspect to me Mr. Rezuke. Shame on you.

A similar experience except I was the perpetrator.
I was trying to sell a Marlin 1894 CL in .218 Bee on Guns America about 7 yrs ago.
Bought new 10yrs before, was asking $350,,, basically what I paid for it.
Had a fellow offer me $325 and told him It sounded good but would have to give it some thought.
In the mean time someone else offered me $350 and when I told I had given another guy the impression I probably let it go for $325, he immediately offered $450.
So greedy as I am, I contacted the original offer and told him of the counter offer but, considering, would split the $125 difference with him.
His response was that even though I hadn't renege on a deal I was essentially a jerk.
Considering what this rifle has the potential to sell for now,,,,he made a bad choice and maybe I was a jerk.

Moral of this story? Matthew deserves to be called on the carpet,,, but crucified in open forum?

You low balled me $65. I am not going to argue with any of you on here. I was offered a better price and I took it. He was notified with an email. I am sorry, how ever I will take a higher price every time.
