So I just purchased a Benjamin marauder carbine. After shooting about 6 magazines through it I attempted to pump the gun up only it seemed my connection with the quick disconnect on my Benjamin pump wouldn't seal and transfer air to the gun ( can hear air escaping). Do you think it's the gun, or is it the pump? About to just buy a hill pump and be done with it but want to make sure it's not the gun first. It seems to be holding air just fine. Ideas?

First thing to check is the female quick detach on the end of the pump hose. Thers is suppose to be an o-ring at the bottom of the fitting to seal to the fill nipple. If the fitting loses that little o-ring, it won't seal.
Can be lost other ways, but usually lose them when I disconnect the hose while there is still some pressure in the pump-hose....basically "shoots" that quick detach o-ring into some never to be found corner.

In case you DO end up getting the Hill pump (like I did) don't make a newbie mistake and be sure to order the Female Foster quick disconnect and adapater to 1/4" BSPP so that you can actually use the Hill pump once it arrives. I had to wait an extra week because I forgot about that little part and they are in short supply at some places it seems. I ordered my fitting from AirTanksForSale.com. Quick shipping but the postal service doesn't deliver on Labor Day.
As for your leak, if the fitting is connected securely and the oring is there and the gun isn't leaking then it sounds like a pump issue. Soapy water should show you where exactly the leak is.
My new Benjamin pump failed after a short two weeks. Oring issue. I sent it back and got the hill which actually comes with silicone grease to help prevent the issue. I had to tighten up the fitting to the hose to get a proper seal after a partial pump up, but it's been fine since.
