If it will always be used on CO2 and has no chance of being used on unregulated HPA, any paintball gun oil and grease (depending on which is called for) would work just fine. Pure silicone oil and grease is used for airguns that will see HPA but pure silicone would work just as well on a CO2 airgun. It's is a bit harder to find pure silicone oil/grease in a local department store than it is to find petroleum based paintball oil/grease.

If you want the best, secret sauce from Mac1.

If you want the cheapest, 30wt ND.

Have used a lot of lubes in co2 guns. Not really concerned about a detonation (co2 won't support combustion) but do try for things known to be 0-ring safe. Some oils will tend to degrade O-rings, which can end up with them turning into something that feels like a sticky soft "gummie bear". Crosman PellGun oil, silicon oil, air tool oil, and even ATF (automatic Trasnmission Fluid) haven't seem to cause any problems.

I put a drop of Secret Sauce on the head of the Co2 cartridge. Works great, doesn't harm o-rings, won't gunk up internals like pelgun oil. As was already mentioned, Co2 won't support detonator.
