Hello all,
Decided to join today, but have been referring to this forum for some time now..would like to thank you all for your wealth of information, it has help me many many times and recently helped me to decide on my latest purchase.. a Remington NPSS in .177
As a kid I owned several AG's but didn't really catch the "fever" till 1986 when I was in my mid 20's and bought a Crossman 2100 classic, one day while shooting at grasshoppers in the feild outback I started dreaming of having something super accurate to plink with, being the days before the internet and living in a fairly remote area several years went by till I caught wind of a company called Bemans, sent for my first catalog in 1992 and from the day it arrived I knew that I was a hooked for life. Sad thing is I've never really had the funds to jump into the big pond with the higher end guns, seemed back then the kids always needed something or the car was broke ect. but manged to keep the dream alive by swapping things around and making do with what I had.. about 6 years ago I purchased a Gamo Shadow 1000 from Walmart and have had nothing but trouble with it from the git go and after tinkering with it for years I conviced the wife I needed a new one, well bought the NPSS several days ago and I'm as happy as a clam..have shot about 200 rounds and so far I love this thing.
